Our Installation Service
As one of the of the optional extras for our SIPs Kits, we do offer an on-site installation service.
Please bear in mind, that if you are looking to have your studio constructed by our team, you will also be required to purchase our fixing kit, for our guys to use when building your studio, as well as cover the cost of our delivery.
What is included in the install?
Once you have your garden room foundation prepared, our dedicated team would then construct your SIPs studio to shell finish, as shown in the image below.
They would also fit the external breathable membrane wrap and battens, should you choose to order this from our list of optional extras. (We would not fit the wrap and batten if you choose to source this elsewhere)
We do not fit the EPDM rubber roof membrane as part of our installation service, as this does not need to be fitted until after your cladding.
What is required for us to install your studio?
If you are interested in our installation service, we would send over an install requirement form, for you to complete and return. This would be to confirm the following:
- The access to the property/site is completely clear and easy to navigate.
- There will be adequate parking for a truck and trailer with no obstructions.
- There is a minimum of 500mm around the studio footprint for construction.
- There will be power available on site.
- There are no height restrictions below 2.1m.
- Whether there will be any other construction work being carried out on the site, on the same day.
- The SIPs kit will not be carried through a property.
- Whether there are any steps or steep slopes.
- There will be power available on site.
- What base type you will be using – A tradional concrete slab or screw pile foundations.
We would also require you to send over a short video showing access from the parking area through to the build site.
Once we have assessed both your install form and access video, we will then confirm whether it is viable for our team to carry out the install.
How many days will it take for us to constuct your studio?
The number of days of construction would depend on the size of your SIPs kit, as well as your location and the access. Please bear in mind that we must take into account travel time when deciding the number of days to install.
